“Are You Game Enough?” NGC Gathering
By Ps Amadea Seow, Maranatha Christian Assembly
Young and veteran ministers had a fun and prayerful time together.
This year’s Next Generation Committee’s (NGC) “Are You Game Enough?” on April 25, was a gathering beyond church walls. We organized an outdoor event at Pasir Ris Park where games in groups of five were played among the young as well as veteran ministers of Next Generation ministries.
28 full-time NGC ministers from eight AG churches across Singapore came together for this fellowship. It was a time to let our hair down, getting to know one another and having fun as we conquered the given tasks as a team.
The fellowship deepened as the different teams talked about their challenges and breakthroughs in their ministries at a personal level. Younger ministers were inspired by the faithfulness of the veteran Next Generation ministers while the veterans were stirred by the fire and passion of the younger ones who obeyed God’s calling.
Rev Dominic Yeo charged the ministers to rise up to be the Davidic Generation who will be history makers in the expansion of the Kingdom of God. And to be committed to the calling that God has placed in their hearts.
After the message, the ministers encouraged one another in prayer: to continue to stand tall and strong in the faith as they lead the Next Generation ministries with renewed boldness and faithfulness.
Thereafter, it was another round of fellowship over food where heartfelt conversations continued and the bonding strengthened amongst the ministers. It was indeed a day to rejoice as we were blessed with great weather to enjoy a respite with the easing of COVID-19 restrictions.
