Assemblies of God of Singapore Annual General Meeting 2024
The Assemblies of God of Singapore gathered for our Annual General Meeting on May 24, 2024.
With our hearts ready from a powerful time of worship, we received the ministry of the Word from our guest speakers.
Rev Alan Hewitt and Rev Chris Cartwright delivered a powerful message to challenge our ministers. Rev Alan emphasized the necessity of choosing the right battles as leaders, underlining that minor theological differences, personal hurts, and preferences are not worth the fight. Instead, the focus should be on the ministry of God’s Word and His Spirit. He concluded with a call for AG Singapore to preach and teach the Word with the power of the Holy Spirit. Rev Chris followed with a compelling message on understanding and renewing our call to leadership, urging AG Singapore to think outside the box and reach the next generation for the Lord. The response was overwhelming, with many rededicating themselves to their call as ministers of God’s Word. An atmosphere of faith set the stage for the presentation of credentials. There was joy, appreciation and honor as different ministers received their credentials.
Rev Chng Mui Yong and Rev Douglas Goh were presented with Life Membership. They have served faithfully for countless years in AG.
Next, we received new Associate Corporate Members into our denomination: Living Faith International Church, New Redeemer’s Fellowship, Hallelujah International Church, and Talking Hearts.
We rejoiced with the various ministers as they received their credentials: nine exhorters, 11 licensed ministers and eight ordained ministers.
Following that, the treasury reported was presented: a summary of 2023 and the needful financial anticipation and preparation, for 2024 and ahead.
Passing of resolutions ensued: to receive and adopt the annual reports and the audited financial statements for the financial year ended December 31, 2023 and the auditors’ report; to receive and consider, and if thought fit, to adopt insert of New Articles 10.11.6, 10.11.7 and 10.11.8 into our Constitution.
The Meeting ended with a time of prayer.
