Associate Corporate Membership – Faith Antioch Hub
Congratulations on Faith Antioch Hub on receiving the Associate Corporate Membership with the Assemblies of God of Singapore! We asked Rev Grace Ong to introduce the church to us.
When I returned to Singapore in 2018 after 18 years in the mission-field planting churches in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, I felt a strong renewal of the Antioch call. Rev Rick Seaward had passed on suddenly and his last message of planting Antioch churches resonated deeply. Billy Graham, who first declared Singapore to be the Antioch of Asia 40 years ago, had also gone home to the Lord that year. It seemed an era had ended and a new one has begun. In 2019, with the blessings and release of my home church Faith AG, my Filipino husband and I felt compelled to start a new church reaching the nations within Singapore. We started with a Filipino cell group in a food court in Paya Lebar with just a few unchurched Filipinos who started work in Singapore.
Our Beginning
Faith Antioch Hub was birthed from a desire to plant an Antioch church that would reach the nations God has brought to Singapore, to disciple, equip and send them to fulfil God’s redemptive Mission in the nations.
Right from our inception, we felt led to combine with a Chinese group led by Rev Humphrey Choe. Their former pastor, Ps John Lim Chee Kien had suffered a stroke and has since gone home to be with the Lord. By God’s leading, we blended as a spiritual family with an English and Chinese congregation of around 50 precious members.
Our Vision and Mission
Our vision is simply to expand God’s Kingdom through uncompromising truth and unconditional love. Our Mission is to be a
- Home to draw all nationalities in Singapore to Christ
- Hub to make disciples with God’s truth and love and equip them for service
- Heartbeat of God to send them out to the nations to glorify Him
Our Leadership
We thank God for a team of servant leaders consisting of my husband Rev Noel Cabusao and myself, Rev Grace Ong Cabusao, leading the English and Filipino congregation. Rev Humphrey Choe, Rev Shirley Teo and Bro Setho Cheong Hing leads the Chinese congregation and Rev Dr Andrew Ong assists and mentors us as a team. I stand as the pastor-in-charge of this new spiritual family.
Our Location
After our official opening in October 2019, the pandemic hit early in 2020. It has been really challenging starting a new church in a pandemic with changes in protocol almost every few months. We moved four times in two years! But praise God, at present we are enjoying a bilingual service at 29 Playfair Road, Lin Ho Building, #03-00. Our Facebook update page is Faith Antioch Hub and we can be reached at 83028191. Our service time is 1-3pm.
We look forward this year to establish greater unity between our English and Chinese congregation and getting our members engaged in God’s Mission in the nations. The church established an Antioch Missions Fund last year and we were amazed to see a tremendous outpouring of relief resources during Typhoon Odette in December 2021, repairing at least five damaged churches in Cebu and Leyte. We are excited to mobilize our members in mission trips as Singapore and many countries are re-opening. We pray the Lord will send us more people of different nationalities to love and disciple, fulfilling God’s redemptive agenda in Singapore and beyond. The Antioch Call to plant mission-minded churches is unstoppable.
