Dear friends,
The inaugural issue of AG Times was released in December 2011. Since then, for over a decade, AG Times has continued to collect and bring forth powerful stories of what God does through the Assemblies of God (AG) Singapore. The team at AG Times works tirelessly to ensure that God is the central figure and thanksgiving is the core expression of all the news.
The four core values of ENVISION, EDUCATE, EXCITE and EMPOWER form the core ministerial philosophy of AG Times. After that, these four core values are expressed as a vision in three broad categories – TOGETHERNESS, TRAINING and TRANSFORMATION.
The 3 T’s is the vision that God laid upon the heart of the Rev Dominic Yeo, General Superintendent. He sees AG Singapore as a spiritual family TOGETHER as one body. A family that constantly looks out and helps one another. A denomination where TRAINING is prioritizes for the advancement of kingdom work. A place where credential ministers are equipped with cutting-edge discipleship tools/strategies and motivated toward continuing formal Christian education. Thus, experiencing God’s TRANSFORMATION power through spirit-filled encounters. The vision is to witness local AG churches and our associate organizations moving in spiritual gifts, highlighted through passionate praise and thanksgiving. AG Times is the vehicle for spreading such God-stories to a larger community, for God to be glorified and His name to be proclaimed!
As we enter the 21st century, the AG Times team hopes to bring you AG news through various digital platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, and AG-Times website. The fundamental values and vision remain the same, but our media approach has changed as we use the best available technologies to bring you the latest happenings. We desire that each reader be blessed and, in turn, shares and blesses another with a story.
I am grateful for a dedicated team of writers, graphic artists, editors and coordinators who work diligently. I humbly submit that the best compliment they deserve is when a story is read, shared, and distributed. Join me on this journey as you discover the work of God beyond our local churches. Expand your spiritual horizon by seeing His hands move in the AG denomination in Singapore and the nations beyond.
