AG Ministers Summit 2025 — Building Together: Healthy Churches
By Bro Jireh Tham, Eternal Life Assembly

Focusing on the theme “Building Together: Healthy Churches,” the AG Ministers’ Summit 2025 was an invigorating three-day gathering that resulted in renewed unity, intergenerational connection, and a dedicated commitment to Kingdom expansion within the Assemblies of God Singapore.

From November 4–6, 2025, over 140 credentialed ministers of the Assemblies of God Singapore gathered for a three-day, two-night Ministers’ Summit at Holiday Inn Johor Bahru. Centered on the theme “Building Together: Healthy Churches,” the assembly was a refreshing time of equipping, connection, and ministry renewal.

Our esteemed guest speaker, Ps Friedhelm Holthuis (National Leader, Assemblies of God Germany), led five sessions addressing key dimensions of church health: investing in the next generation, maintaining childlike faith, preparing vessels, cultivating prayer and obedience, and leading with a multiplication mindset. His messages, enriched by faith-filled stories, stirred hearts to step out and participate in God’s global mission.

Beyond the teaching, the Summit fostered meaningful connection and collaboration. Intergenerational teams were formed, bringing together seasoned pastors and emerging ministers. Over dinner and in group discussions following two panel sessions, participants shared their ministry journeys and session takeaways. God truly used this time to strengthen fellowship across churches and generations.

The Holy Spirit marked the gathering powerfully. Many testified that something had shifted — a deeper unity among ministers, a greater desire to connect across generations, and a renewed commitment to the heartbeat of God. As Rev Jason Tan reflected, “There is a knitting together of hearts. It’s like God is weaving us into a tapestry — woven together by a common, seeded goal of seeing the Kingdom, a unified vision.”

In one session led by Rev Dominic Yeo (General Superintendent, AG Singapore), ministers were challenged to make MM33 — “His Mandate, Our Mission” — their personal mission. As Rev Dominic preached from Matthew 14, he called ministers to respond to the Lord’s charge for kingdom expansion, to “give them something to eat.” That night, nearly every minister filled the altar, dedicating themselves anew to the work of planting churches and advancing God’s Kingdom.

Many left the Summit with a revived passion for building healthy churches and a broadened vision for what God is doing in and through the AG movement. As Rev Alvin Lim shared, “There is a shift — a sense of unity, direction, breakthrough, and momentum. After this, AG will take off. We are united by our roots of Pentecost and the work of the Holy Spirit, our AG distinctive. We need to value and champion this.”
